it's all about the climb

Hey!!!

So things are going great/slow career wise lol but, can anything ever go fast enough lol.  wait yes it can go fast enough lol.  anyways sooo i have had two photo shoots in the past 3 months which make my total 3 photo shoots.  lol but these pics are from the one in December for my  comp cards and portfolio which btw I have ordered now!!! :) So anyways these were taken at Johnny C's aka my agency MTMDetroit by Keith.  My makeup and hair were done by AJ she is awesome I L.O.V.E. her lol.  Oh so when I was taking the shots in the purple shirt the best song for it came on lol So What by P!nk lol

And my second photo shoot, the above was technically my third lol.  This one was for the contest the Next Fresh Face of Poshh which is a boutique in downtown Ann Arbor and the winner is their model for the rest of the year. I made it in to the top 3 finalists and we got to do a photo shoot for it :)  I even got a haircut it was very ANTM lol.  The photo shoot was on a Sunday in November and the friday before it I got food poisoning from sushi, and it was my first time eating it!!! lol and I spent the next 12 hours throwing up; we lost count at like 17 yea i threw up that much lol i was up all night.  It got sooo bad that I had to go to the hospital and and get an IV and it took 2 bags of fluid for me to get close to normal lol it normally takes one and that was about 2pm on Saturday i was there till like 7 or something lol.  Anyways the photo shoot was awesome the other two girls were awesome the hair dresser was incredible and gave me an awesome hair cut!!!  I am sooo grateful for every opportunity i can get.  And the day my dreams come true will be the best day of my life literally.  but below are two pictures from the shoot.

the below picture is a picture of me at the end of the photo shoot with the other two girls that were finalists as well and the owner of Poshh and the manager of Poshh too.  

I have been having a great time and can't wait to get my comp cards and send them out to lots of places.

August 18 - August 23, 2008 - Day 3 - Day 8

Okay so it's official I suck at blogging lol.  I can't believe I haven't finished the Disney Blogs yet.  And worse I only got to Day 2. Oh well since I am horrible at this I am thinking I should just screw the individual ones combine them all to make a new one about the rest of the days.

So, here it goes.

On Monday, we went to Give Kids The World for o

ur first day of volunteering.  Me and Mandy got to go work with Mickey and Donald D

uck!!! The others were in the Gingerbread House.  We would take pictures of the kids with them.  We even got to take a picture with Mickey and Donald it was AWESOME!  Mandy got to go work with Mary Poppins, Goofy, and Pluto too.  Probably one of the coolest things I will ever get to do.  After our morning shift was done.  We went back to the Resort for a bit.  And went to Downtown Disney.  Me and Mandy got our hair wrapped! It was fun.  Then that night me and Brandon got to work the Double Dare night. Remember Nick's Double Dare, it's like that.  Brandon was s

hamelessly flirting with this other volunteer whose boyfriend was there lol.  Sorry, I just outed you on that Brandon.  But it was sooo much fun!!!  People got pied in the face A LOT and I felt like we were really working a real show lol.  The others were a part of Kids Night Out, or something like that lol, the Parents got a kid free night 

and the volunteers hung out with them doing fun stuff.  They got to come watch Double Dare.  That was the end of the night lol.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, we were volunteering again at Give Kids The World.  I have no idea where I was working those days.  I think on Tuesday I worked at the Castle and learned how to work the Carousel! Then later that night I think I worked the Kids Idol setting up and everything.  And during the day we went back to Downtow

n Disney for a little shopping fun lol. 

Then on Wednesday we worked at a few different places I think we started out in the Gingerbread House then they asked us to stay later cause of the storm and they were short workers so we stayed till the evening and didn't have to come back that night.  I worked in the Castle the whole time there were leaks all over the place and everything it was crazy.   Then we had the night off.

On Thursday we went to MGM aka Hollywood Studios! We had the day off from Give Kids The World.  I met Mike and Sulley and we went on the back lot tour which was crazy lol.

But the funniest part of the day was what we had to wait the whole day for.

  The new toy story game/ride was sooo popular that when we got our fast passe

s at like 10 in the morning the fast passes weren't until 8 that night.  But that was worth the wait it was sooo much fun.  It was raining Cats & Dogs that day.  Our shoes and socks were sooo soaked we couldn't wear them the next day! And the fireworks got cancelled :( but it was still awesome! lol

On Friday, we went to Give Kids The World it was our last day volunteering.  We worked at the Gingerbread House that morning.  Which was a problem because you have to wear closed toe shoes in there and me and mandy had none cause they got soaked the day before.  So they got attitudes with us not the people that work there but the volunteers.  We got to serve the food though which was fun.  Then we went back to the resort for the afternoon.  When we went back to finish our last night we still had no shoes which was okay.  I got to work the Princes and Princesses party which was fun.  But we had to walk stuff from the 

theatre to the castle and then load this truck while it was pouring rain.  And I am not kidding you I don't think I have ever been that wet.  But it was still fun I got to work with a bunch of high schoolers that night.  Then we left to go back to the resort and pack cause we were leaving the next day.

On Saturday, our last day, we went to Animal Kingdom!  which was awesome!  We went on the Safari ride and Mt. Everest and sooo much more.  But it was still raining :(  no where near as bad as the last two days though.  Then we had to start heading to the airport in the late afternoon cause we had to drop of the rental car then catch a shuttle there then get through security.  But when we got there we found out our flight had been delayed because of tropical storm fey which had caused a delay of the flight carrying out flight attendants.  So we had to sit at the airport for 4 hours! Which really sucked cause if we had known that I could have gotten to go on Soaring or whatever that really cool ride is called.  But instead we got stuck for 4 hours at the airport which was okay but got really boring.  a

nd the delay caused us to get home at like 1 ish maybe later even lol.  We wore our ears to church the next day though lol.

Well there you have it I have finally finished blogging about the trip, 3 months later. lol  But this trip was one of the most incredible trips I have ever been on.  If you are ever going to Disney for like a week I strongly urge you to go volunteer there they need help and it will give you a new perspective on life.

August 17, 2008 - Day 2!

Hey!

So if you couldn't tell I am really bad at this whole blog thing lol 

So since I am avoiding cleaning my room I thought I would finally post the second day blog lol

HI!

Today is Sunday.

We got up early today to go to church, Presbyterian Church in Celebration.  Which btw is one of the coolest towns ever!!! But I am pretty much 100% positive that everyone that lives there is really rich cause well if you drove around there you would agree too.  But we kind of got lost a few times on the way there lol then this every nice man told us how to get there and we some how made it there on time lol. The church was really small probably smaller than my church lol but it was very cool and I loved the service and everything I would deff go back.  The pastor there is very cool too.  Afterwards we came home to pack lunch, change and get ready for MAGIC KINGDOM.  Magic Kingdom was great!!! We did pretty much everything! Marijane got us ears with our names on them.  We watched the parade and a bunch of shows. One of my fav rides though was the train thing that goes through space mountain and buzz light year and all those rides but I forgot what it was called lol.  Mandy left early which I still don't know why but I felt bad she missed the fireworks and all the shows we went to after them.  But I guess she feels better but idk I haven't really talked to her about it.  Later on in the day we came back had dinner and orientation at Give Kids The World.  And the place is uber cool it is like there own mini disney cause the buildings aren't just buildings the castle looks like a castle, the gingerbread house is a gingerbread house it is just cool lol.  I can't wait to start working there!  Then we went back to Magic Kingdom for the fireworks yea this blog is a little mixed up lol.  I am tired so whatev.  I will have vids of the fireworks and stuff very soon.

August 16, 2008 - First day of Mission Trip (HAPPY LABOR DAY)

Whoops! I forgot to post the blogs lol.

Well here goes the first day lol

Today is Saturday our first day in Florida.  Last night we all spent the night at Mari-jane's, she is our youth group leader.  The Brandons made the decision in the beginning of the night to stay up all night since we were leaving for the airport at 4:30 a.m. Which would of made sense if it was a seven hour flight like people did in Spain but, the flight was two hours! lol And then we were going to Disney World for the rest of the day.  lol Well I picked the couch in the TV room which was where the boys were so I got like 2.5 hrs of sleep last night lol.  We had the olympics on all night; Mari-jane recorded it.  

We left for the airport at around 4:30ish and got there to realize that our flight was pushed back an hour so we had to wait like 3 hours lol.  The flight was great, I slept most the way and the landing was really good lol.  (My first flight ever, earlier this summer, had a horrible landing.)  I got an aisle seat next to Mandy which was perfect.

Once we got here we had to take a shuttle bus to the rental car place and we got this cool nissan that was keyless lol.  Then we went to the resort called, OLD KEY WEST, It is a really cool place. Our room is a one bedroom which us 3 girls are sharing and has a pullout couch which the 2 boys are sharing.  It has this huge jacuzzi, no lie, a washer and dyer a complete kitchen and a bathroom too. It is pretty cool but my favorite part is the Balcony, lol.  It also has a really cool pool and I really want to check it out this week.  Our hotel room keys have our names on them which is very cool.  The buildings look like something you'd see at a seaside place they are really cute beach home looking.  Our room is on the top floor of our building, which is the third lol.  And out the window we have a view of the golf course. There are no elevators lol we have to use the stairs lol which is great!

After we checked in Mari-jane headed out to the grocery store while we unpacked and went to get lunch at the resort, which had a few problems.  Then me and mandy went back to our room and took a nap instead of grabbing a bus to Epcot lol.  Then when Mari-jane got back we went to Epcot.

Epcot was awesome of course.  We did pretty much everything it was sooo cool.  We went in the big golf ball of course and we got stuck on the ride for like 10 mins.  Which was no where near as bad as when I got stuck on the same ride for like maybe a minute on the steep hill going down.  lol and when we got stuck this time we were only a few feet from being one of those people stuck on the steep hill lol.  But it funny because every few seconds the stupid speaker dude would say the ride has been stopped for your safety please stayed seated that got a little annoying lol.  

After we rode that we went back to the hotel and had dinner.  When we got back we realized the boys did absolutely nothing the whole day lol.  But, after dinner they came with us back to Epcot to see the fire works.  But before the fireworks we still had time to go through a few of the countries.  And we went to Mexico and rode the rides in the restaurant, which i have to say that ride was sooo incredible.  Then a little while later we sat down to watch the fireworks which were INCREDIBLE!!! I video taped them and you can see them in a bit once I make the video lol.  

So our first day has been pretty great.  Tonight is our first night sharing the bed so we'll see how that goes lol.  BTW, we are paying $10/day for internet access lol crazy right?!

Mission Trip '08

I have been blogging about my mission trip that i have been on this week but I haven't been able to post since we are only home for a bit and share the internet but I will be posting next week starting Monday lol.
